As winners of an NHS Innovation Award, Nick’s treatment programme called ‘ANSWERS’ was licensed to the Gainsborough Foundation (GF) as a comprehensive teaching tool. Nick and GF Assistant Director Nikki de Villiers used it in surgeries and medical centres to treat their alcohol dependent patients, and trained others in the art.
Founded the Chaucer Clinic UK’s largest alcohol rehabilitation project and Adviser to the government on the Rough Sleepers Initiative
Founder of Addiction Network which had 1 million followers and ran for 5 years
‘The Nick Charles Case Book’ BBC Radio produced the first alcohol case history CD recorded by the BBC
Designed and founded the ‘ANSWERS’ Alcohol Recovery Programme, honoured and lauded by the medical profession
Designed the ACR (Alcohol Consumption Regime) the ACR will determine the extent of an individual’s dependence of alcohol, and if they have crossed the line into alcoholism
Awarded a partnership contract with 150+ GP’s across Cambridgeshire to work alongside them in medical centres
